I FEEL disturbed about Trevor Manuel defending parastatals that spent money on World Cup tickets (Sowetan, July 6).
It's very unfair for public servants to strike for remunerations while our government "bails out" parastatals with billions of rands .
That money was supposed to be used to pay for the increments of public servants.
To me World Cup tickets are a No! No!
I think it's time for those parastatals to "bail out" the state to avert the looming strike.
Manuel says parastatals are business entities that must be run in a particular way to make profits.
The state must not "bail out" those "companies" again.
