VUYO Mokoena may have died but his legacy lives on.

The gospel singer died from leukaemia a few weeks after signing a contract with Big Fish Music.

His album Remembering is a collection of Mokoena's popular gospel tracks, songs loved by his legion of fans.

A talented artist, Mokoena's brand of gospel consists of vibrant, melodic and rhythmic grooves to which he danced in a particular style that was soon adopted by his fans.

Among some of his memorable performances are those with Sipho Makhabane, Joyous Celebration, Rebecca, Pure Magic and Jabu Hlongwane.

Iculo Elisha with Hlongwane was popularised by the chorus "Ntate nthuse", which has gone double platinum.

Remembering has sold 20000 CDs and 11000 DVDs since its release in November last year.

The release comprises songs from his CDs Shish'Udumo, The Psalmist and Avuleka Amazulu. Avuleka has already sold more than 60000 CDs.
