"The facts are that proper procedures were followed in all cases following the alleged theft (on) May 22 of R400 from a guest's locker at the venue," Falcon Security managing director Elgar Rademeyer said.
He said three women were interviewed they agreed to be searched and all three made statements about their knowledge of events on that day.
"In their statements two of the women specifically asked to be searched in order to prove their innocence," Rademeyer said.
He said that at no time were their genitals searched and the security officer said she did not ask them to take their clothes off.
Only females were present during the search, Rademeyer said, adding that nothing incriminating was found.
But the women had sent the security company a demand for compensation for being searched, he said.
Sun International said on Monday that Sun City director of operations Jo Kentgens launched an investigation on hearing the allegations and offered counselling to the employees involved. - Sapa
