SO IT was with great pleasure that we attended Sophie Ndaba's birthday celebration, which lasted the whole of Tuesday.
First off, the sexy one cut her cake and gave gifts to children who attended her day party at Maponya Mall in Soweto.
It was wonderful to watch celebrities mingle with the kids. Just like we applauded Nambitha Mpumlwana for celebrating her birthday with the elderly, we are proud of Ndaba for making sure kids were smiling on that chilly Tuesday.
After entertaining the kids, off she went to Sandton to party with adults. It was crazy to watch other celebs arrive in red and wait for her royal highness Ndaba.
We waited and waited but we were not bothered because Malcom X and the owners kept offering us drinks as if prohibition were looming.
The place was also full of BEE men with big bellies and there, in the corner, was Generations creator Mfundi Mvundla, also patiently wait ing for Ndaba.
Three hours later she appeared in a gold Pallu dress, making such a grand entrance that one of the security ladies wondered if she was getting married.
It was a great party, though some of the dreadlocked soccer players would not pose for pictures; though Kaos Matu of Selimathunzi was bumped and spilt his drink and though Ndaba changed dresses so many times we stopped counting.
We missed Karabo (Connie Furguson) but we liked the fact that most people followed the dress code - even if we are not quite taken by men wearing red shoes.
OK, so now we have to go to Sal Masekela do at the Park Hyatt and we want to perfect our American accent.
You know him? He works for E! Entertainmentand is the son of Hugh.
Oh, we forgot to tell you that DJ Fistaz was there in his Maserati. T'bo Touch, who was telling the world he is about to marry, looked so hot we girls wanted to marry him.
Darling, stick to fitted clothes because they look better than the hip-hop nonsense.
