Date in court for 'poacher'

THE hearing of a Mpumalanga man accused of illegal poaching was postponed in the White River magistrate's court late on Monday.

John Silinda, 45, was remanded in custody pending his appearance on July 7 in the Skukuza magistrate's court.

Skukuza police Captain Kobus Cotze said the police received a tip-off that Silinda was regularly seen selling the meat of wild animals in the Mkhuhlu area.

Cotze said that poaching was rife in the Kruger National Park. - Masoka Dube.
