OUTGOING Bafana Bafana coach Carlos Alberto Parreira will address Safa top brass on Wednesday and Thursday as finding his replacement gets under way.

The Brazilian will do a postmortem of the 2010 Fifa World Cup with Safa's management committee and the national executive.

Safa chief executive Leslie Sedibe said: "I have written to Carlos to attend the two meetings.

"We will also deal with the performance of the team during the World Cup and the way forward, which begins with the search for a new coach.

"We want to start with the preparations for the 2014 Fifa World Cup in Brazil as soon possible.

"Our aim is not only to qualify but to do well in that tournament."

Asked if any applications have been received for the position which will be vacant in July, Sedibe said: "Not that I know of.

"Naturally, there will be a massive interest but the issue will be dealt with by the national executive committee on Thursday."

Sowetan has leant from sources within the Safa executive that Bafana assistant coach Pitso Mosimane was likely to be named new coach as early as Friday.

"The majority of us agree Pitso must be given the job," said a source.

Another source added: "Pitso is the man."
