A MAN who produced hundreds of intellectuals in his teaching career has died after a long illness.
Terence Cairo Khosa, 55, of 1756A Thulamahashe Township died in the Mapulaneng Hospital in Bushbuckridge on Sunday.
Khosa was born in Alexandra in Gauteng. He trained as a teacher at Tivumbeni College of Education in Nkowankowa, near Tzaneen, and started teaching at Mafemani High School in Thulamahashe in 1983.
He was transferred to the nearby Eric Nxumalo High School when it opened in 1985.
His long-time friend Stanley Mkhari said: "Khosa was definitely a man for the people. He cared for both the old and the young. What's more important, though, is that in his 20 years of teaching he produced hundreds of intellectuals."
Khosa is survived by his wife Miriam and children Ayanda, Senzi, Nyiko and Akani.
He will be buried at Thulamahashi Cemetery tomorrow.
