Kickoff is at 8.30pm.

Guided by the decorated but temperamental Diego Maradona, the South Americans are still to drop a point after winning their opening two matches.

In the first match, Argentina - who have been tipped by legend Jomo Sono to win this tournament - beat Nigeria 1-0 and went on to hammer South Korea 4-1 in their second with Gonzalo Higuain grabbing the first and only hat-trick of the tournament so far.

Greece need a win to keep their hope of qualifying for the second round alive after registering an historic 2-1 win over Nigeria .

With this win the Greeks made double history - scoring their first World Cup goal and win - so it did not surprising that they celebrated as if they had won the tournament.

Pointless Nigeria take on South Korea, who beat Greece 2-0 in their opening match at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

Messi, the reigning Fifa world player of the year, is still to score and it remains to be seen if Polokwane will be the first host city where the popular striker finally nets his first goal of the World Cup in South Africa.

Maradona, who has confessed to his love for South Africa, its facilities and people, said he was happy that their quest to win the World Cup was still well on track.

"So far, so good. My players are doing well," said Maradona, one of only two coaches trying the win the cup from the bench after lifting it as captains.

Greece striker Dimitris Salpingidis said Argentina must not expect an easy game, saying they were geared up to stop the South Americans from collecting their third win.

"We will do our best against Argentina, we are going all out for our second win. It won't be easy but we are ready," said Salpingidis
