WILL Michael Schultz turn the tables on Tineyi Maridzo?

The heavily-tattooed Schultz from the south of Johannesburg will attempt to revenge the first-round knockout defeat meted out to him by the Zimbabwean on November 20 last year.

That fight, which attracted more than 3000 fans, took place at Wembley Arena. It was staged by Branco Sports Production of promoter Branco Milenkovic.

Maridzo knocked Schultz out with one punch to win the WBO Africa super middleweight title.

Now promoter Pat Molefe of Rainbow Promotions, NEO Africa and Durandt Boxing World will jointly present the rematch on July 1 at the same venue of the first fight.

Schultz's trainer, Nick Durandt, announced yesterday that the grudge fight is dubbed "Repeat or Revenge".

"I think it's a fight a lot of people want to see. People must come and see the rematch because it will not be shown live on television," said the flamboyant mentor who shoots from the hip.

Schultz's defeat by Maridzo was his first against three wins since he made a come back in September last year.

He had retired undefeated in 1998 with 14 wins and two draws.

"He got lucky last time. It will be different this time. I am very excited to set the record straight. I am in the best shape ever and ready for the challenge," said the colourful Schultz.

Durandt said tickets are R150 (ringside) and R100 main grand stand.
