Twenty-eight female guards were unfairly dismissed by a security company because the client‚ Metrora.
MPUMALANGA police are searching for suspects who shot and killed a 21-year-old man execution style in the Daantjie area near Nelspruit yesterday.
KaNyamazane police spokesperson Inspector Andres Skwambane said Charles Sibiya's body was found at 4am by residents who were going to work.
"We received a phone call during the early hours of yesterday morning. When we arrived on the scene, we found him (Sibiya) dead in a pool of blood. Our investigation revealed that the victim was shot twice in the head," said Skwambane.
He said Sibiya's head was badly damaged as he was shot at the back of the head and the bullet exited through the eye.
"We suspect that his assailants might have used a revolver because we did not find cartridges on the ground."
Skwambane said investigations revealed that Sibiya's killers intended to rob him and further investigations were under way to establish more information.
One of the neighbours, who declined to give her name, told Sowetan that she heard a gunshot in the early hours of yesterday morning.
"I heard a gunshot, so I tried in vain to peep through the window as it was dark," she said.
Skwambane said police were investigating a murder case.
