A LESOTHO citizen appeared in the Wepener magistrate's court yesterday in connection with the murder of Naledi municipal mayor Motlatsi Motloi.
Free State Hawks spokesperson Mmako Mophiring said the case against Senoe Khaka, 29, from Mafeteng in Lesotho, was postponed to June 8.
Khaka would remain in custody while applying for legal aid in the meantime. Khaka was the third person arrested in connection with the murder of Motloi.
A senior official at the Naledi local municipality, Caroline Mokhothu, 43, and her husband, James, 34, were arrested earlier and had already appeared in court. All three would appear together on June 8.
Motloi, 32, was shot dead in front of his house in Wepener on May 3 about 8pm. - Sapa
