TELEVISION and film actor Patrick Mofokeng has landed a luminary role in the South African movie, Ingxoxo: The Negotiations.

It premiered last week and is a locally produced films.

Mofokeng, who is best known for his role as King Sibiya in Zone 14, will be acting alongside Shoki Sebotsane, Magic Hlatshwayo, Kid Sithole, Clementine Mosimane and Lillian Dube among others.

The movie tackles cultural differences on ilobolo.

The story revolves around two people - Siyanda Ndlovu (Patrick Mofokeng), a business strategist for a telecommunications company, and Mokgadi Mphahlele (Shoki Sebotsane).

Ingxoxo: The Negotiation is an intimate look into the lives of two characters who finds it difficult to interconnect their modern day love life together with ancient African customs, cultures and traditions.

The story takes us into an arena of a well sought-after Siya and his friends including Thabang and Robbie Pienaar chatting away about married life and the processes leading to the actual wedding.

This story touches on various issues such as relationships, friendship, cultural clashes and infidelity. There are also fascinating and humorous scenes about African rituals.

The story is about love, cultural tolerance, and forgiveness in the modern day South Africa and captures the challenges faced by black South Africans as they fight to hold on to their cultural values and traditions.
