THE case against a young mother accused of killing her two children by feeding them poison has been postponed.
Busisiwe Obose, 21 , appeared in the Protea magistrate's court yesterday and was not asked to plead.
She is facing two charges of murdering her children, Londiwe and Samkelisiwe, aged one and three last year.
Magistrate Herman Badenhorst postponed the case to June 17 for further investigation. The court will also get postmortem results for one of the children.
Obose looked healthier than she did months after her children died. Her father, Jacob Zulu, and three other family members were in court.
She was arrested on May 14 after police had waited for more than a year for postmortem results.
In January 2009, Obose allegedly prepared a drink laced with aldicarb - a rat poison. She drank some and gave the rest to her two daughters. She had allegedly had an altercation with their father.
