Anyone interested in how adverts are done have an opportunity to listen to South Africa's leading advert designers. The first lecture will take place at the University of Johannesburg (UJ) tomorrow night at 7pm.

It is titled "Between a Drumstick and a Drum Roll Post-colonial theory and humour in contemporary South African advertising and Laurence Hamburger, the man behind those Nando's adverts will be the speaker.

A series of lectures has been organised by UJ' s Arts Academy in conjunction with the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture's Research Centre, Visual Identities in Art and Design.

Tomorrow's talk will focus on the 2006 Nando's advertising campaign, when Hamburger was director and co-creator.
