HE IS being listened to by hundreds of thousands of soccer lovers on a weekly basis and his television commentating has many viewers in stitches.

Now, timed with the World Cup, Owen Ndlovu has created a soccer haven for the die-heart soccer lover.

Those who know Soweto's hot spots would be familiar with the Back Room. It is now under new management and has a new name, the Change Room - the new home of soccer in Soweto.

The name plays on the change room where footballers gather before a match, during half time and after the match. Here the coach discusses game plans and it is a sanctuary for players.

Ndlovu is the man who does humorous voice-overs for the SABC1 Coca-Cola Soccer Zone on Monday nights and is also a soccer commentator for Ukhozi FM.

"This is a dream come true. The Change Room is going to be a place for real soccer lovers," said Ndlovu.

"I have spoken with my colleagues, friends, players and fans from all quarters and I know what soccer lovers are looking for."

The Change Room has different entertainment areas with soccer names like the "dugout" an area reserved for the coach and technical team.

Other names include the "penalty area" and "extra-strong area" where the general masses sit in a stadium.

Customers will enjoy soccer entertainment from at least four large screens and projector as they are served drinks and "kasi cuisine" from resident chef Berrick Shabalala.

Ndlovu's wife, Portia, will manage the joint.

The venue will officially be launched on June 7, on Coca-Cola Soccer Zone.
