The accident happened when when a police officer lost control of his car and hit a group of people on the pavement last weekend.
Mchunu said the law was taking its course and pleaded with the community to allow investigations to take place without interference.
A teenager died instantly while the other died in hospital. Five other people were injured in the incident. - Sapa
