THE case of the Randfontein father who allegedly stabbed and left his three-year-old twin daughter for dead while throttling the other has been postponed pending further investigations.
The matter will be heard on June 11.
The accused, aged 26, who was denied bail and remanded in custody in the Krugersdorp prison, appeared briefly in the Randfontein magistrate's court yesterday morning.
He was arrested on April 14 in the vicinity of the Randfontein police station after an anonymous caller recognised him from a photo that was distributed around town.
Meanwhile, the toddlers he tried to kill are scheduled to attend their first trauma counselling session on June 7.
A delay in the transfer of relevant documents from the hospital they were treated at to the child protection unit was blamed for the hold up.
The victims' mother said she was relieved to know that her children would receive long-awaited help.
