Nkadimeng, whose awkwardness is reminiscent of Briton Naseem "Prince" Hamed, believed he had won. The fighter from Mamelodi directed his wrath at referee Sazi Xhamlashe.

"He did not protect me when Bongani wrestled and head-butted me.

"I had points docked from me and I don't know why. Maybe it's because he is one of Nick Durandt's boxers."

He cited his fight against one of Durandt's other charges, Phumzile Matyhila, which also ended in a controversial stalemate.

"I feel that I beat him. These guys are being done favours. Bongani head-butted me but nothing was done. He hit me after the bell but the referee did nothing."

Nkadimeng did not raise the matter with Boxing South Africa. "I'm a fighter and I will carry on fighting. I'm going to Namibia next week Saturday for a fight and hopefully I'll win it because I won't be fighting one of Nick's guys," he said.

Durandt brushed off Nkadimeng's allegations. "We can always settle the score in the ring. Every time a person draws, he feels he should have won. If anything, I thought my guy had won. Nobody lost the fight and life goes on. But if he wants a rematch."
