TWO GREAT SPEAKERS

GERMISTON High School pupils Glen Phaswana and Siphosethu Koom were all smiles after winning the finals of the inaugural Peermont Schools Support Programme and SABC Public Speaking Competition.

GERMISTON High School pupils Glen Phaswana and Siphosethu Koom were all smiles after winning the finals of the inaugural Peermont Schools Support Programme and SABC Public Speaking Competition.

The event took place at the Constitutional Court in Johannesburg recently.

Phaswana triumphed in the senior section and Koom topped in the junior section. The young orators bright champion Koom - both of whom are attending Siphosethu Koom of Germiston High School - have also qualified to attend thean International Youth Summit in Sweden next month.

The competition teaches, educates, encourages and motivates high school pupils about the importance ofthe creation of human rights, awareness among high school pupils, while also developing theirir capabilities to communication skills.

Information and communications technology company iSchoolAfrica is this youth development initiative's third partner.
