NEW DELHI - Six India cricketers have been asked to explain an alleged brawl in a bar during the World Twenty20 in the West Indies.

NEW DELHI - Six India cricketers have been asked to explain an alleged brawl in a bar during the World Twenty20 in the West Indies.

The Press Trust of India said yesterday that the Board of Control for Cricket in India had asked Yuvraj Singh, Zaheer Khan, Ashish Nehra, Rohit Sharma, Piyush Chawla and Ravindra Jadeja to respond to its "show cause" notices within seven days.

The cricketers were reportedly "in a bar when fans taunted and abused them for their failure to reach the semifinals and the cricketers reacted, leading to the brawl", the Trust said.

Yuvraj and Nehra have denied that the incident took place.
