Sowetan lensman Seboko passes on

SOWETAN deputy pictures editor Pat Seboko died in the Krugersdorp Hospital yesterday.

SOWETAN deputy pictures editor Pat Seboko died in the Krugersdorp Hospital yesterday.

Seboko, 56, had been in and out of hospital since last October.

Seboko joined Sowetan in the late 1980s after an illustrious career in the mining, film, radio and TV industries.

A trained stage and TV actor, Seboko appeared in productions such as King Solomon's Treasures and Mopheme, which is currently showing on SABC2.

Colleagues remembered him yesterday as a brave and energetic photographer with a great sense of humour.

"I never saw Pat angry or in a woeful state. Even if something was serious he wouldn't take it to heart," a colleague said.

Arrangements for his funeral have not been finalised. He is survived by his wife Dorcas, mother, siblings and children.
