Safa has weak leadership

THE reported suspension of Safa officials Sipho Nkumane, Victor Nkosi and Solly Moerane comes at a time when we are still reeling from the shock resignation of former team doctor Ntlopi Mogoru last weekend.

I must say that the latest developments confirm my long-held view about the so-called new leadership of Safa - that they do not inspire any confidence in the football administration of this country.

When allegations of his trying to destabilise Safa were leveled at Irvin Khoza, the story made headlines across the media. Any such action on the eve of the World Cup was condemned.

The current developments should represent the biggest instability to the team, staff and sponsors associated with Safa going into the World Cup.

This suggests that the focus of the current leadership is more on purging the staff who were associated with the former leadership of Safa.

Where is Kirsten Nematandani, pictured, the president of Safa in all of this?

Is it not the time and space to provide leadership?
