BIDVEST Wits go into their crunch Nedbank Cup semifinal clash against Free State Stars at Olen Park Stadium in Potchefstroom tomorrow weakened by the suspension of key players, but their coach, Roder de Sa, is not a worried man.

The Students will be without Calvin Kadi, Thando Mngomeni, Patrick Phungwayo, Houston Hills and captain Tefu Mashamaite.

"I will be without some of my key players for this match but I'm not worried because I have confidence in the players that will face Stars on Saturday," De Sa said yesterday. "It will be tough for us but I'm confident we will be equal to the task. We have worked hard for this match and we will try hard not to disappoint against Stars."

Stars' coach Themba Sithole, on the other hand, will have everyone available for the encounter.

Stars manager Rantsi Mokoena said they owed their supporters some cheer after a poor season.

"Winning this cup final will surely make our supporters happy after we disappointed them last season. They have been rallying behind us throughout the season and we have to make them happy at the end of the day," Mokoena said yesterday.

Marawaan Bantam and Sifiso Myeni carry the hopes of Wits, while Paulus Masehe and goalkeeper Kenny Mweene should be Stars' trump cards.

Kickoff is at 3pm.

l Stars have organised four buses to the match for their supporters. The return fare is R100 a person. For information contact Stars (058-303-3401).
