SEIPHEMELO Secondary School coach Floyd Mogale has attributed the success of the North West-based institution in the My 2010 Adventure Campaign Tournament to solid development structures.
Mogale's charges were crowned champions of the under-18 boys' category of the tournament designed to create awareness of the World Cup.
They beat KwaZulu-Natal's Siyahlamola 1-0 in the final at Marks Park in Emmarentia, Johannesburg, on Sunday.
Promising striker Sanele Mkhize scored the only goal of this engrossing encounter.
Mkhize also plays for Mamelodi Sundowns' feeder side, Als Puk Tawana, who bundled Platinum Stars out of the Nedbank Cup round of 32.
Mogale, who is also a development coach at Sundowns, said: "It was a well-deserved victory and it augurs well for the future of Mamelodi Sundowns Youth Academy.
"We are delighted to have won the tournament, which is part of the 2010 World Cup festivities."
