ANC Youth League spokesperson Floyd Shivambu is adamant President Jacob Zuma has appointed "an open racist" to his Cabinet in Deputy Transport Minister Jeremy Cronin.

He said he had noted a number of instances that suggested Cronin, who was jailed for seven years under apartheid, was anti-Africans.
