SELAELO Selota, the shiny sweaty, gritty, ebony bass guitar maverick from Limpopo, is set to to take the sleepy town of Witbank by storm.

The show that has everybody talking as they wait on tenterhooks, will take place at the Ridge Events Park, at the Ridge Casino, in Witbank, on May 29, from 7pm.

The talented Selota, committed to his eclectic repertoire that fuses jazz on certain albums while it returns to its roots on others, will be an unforgettable music experience. Selota, pictured, sings his heart out, dances up a storm with his equally talented keyboardist Malatji, The Prince, a man who has taken the baton from the late Peta Teanet. Not only is he putting this unique music that is close to the Sepedi language on the map, but sings in it, creating awareness while evoking pride. Once you see a sweaty Selota and Malatji doing their unique dance that sends women into peals of ecstasy, you will never forget it.

Selota will be performing with local artist Anne Masina, who was briefly with Joyous Celebration. She will unleash the varied influences she ingested with the powerful gospel outfit.

Tickets are going at R230.
