SAFA deputy president Mandla Mazibuko is happy with the progress made so far with the federation's effort to bring peace and unity to Safa Capricorn, a region that has been blighted by infighting.

"I was impressed by unity that prevailed in the region and it shows that everybody wants to work for unity and peace here. I urge them to work as a collective for football development in Limpopo," said Mazibuko, who attended the inauguration of the region's new executive committee at Peter Mokaba Stadium at the weekend.

Regional president Abel Rakoma said Capricorn wanted to encourage business people to invest in football.

"We want to create a positive corporate image of the region."

A new tournament in honour of the late Reuben Mogashoa, who served as president of Safa Limpopo, will be played next year.
