Hugh back at Teatro

JAZZ master Hugh Masekela will be back back at The Teatro in Fourways by popular demand.

JAZZ master Hugh Masekela will be back back at The Teatro in Fourways by popular demand.

He will play at Montecasino on July 8 and 9 .

He might be turning 71 this year but Bra Hugh, as he is famously known, can still make people dance. His entertaining music and dance skills thrill both young and old.

The jazz icon, who is hailed around the world, has collaborated with the likes of Paul Simon, Simply Red, Bob Marley and Stevie Wonder.

"Due to overwhelming demand we have decided to re-stage another Hugh Masekela experience at The Teatro, says show promoter Tony Feldman of Showtime Management.

"The response and reaction to Bra Hugh's 70th birthday celebration events was so overwhelming that we felt it was a perfect time to re-stage the show during the World Cup and to a possible international audience who have not had the privilege of watching the legendary jazz icon in an intimate setting."

"The shows will again consist of the icon, together with his unbelievable six-piece band, soulful seven-voice choir and talented friends who will join him in this celebration of South African music," Feldman says.

Tickets prices are R200, R275 and R375.
