SOUTH Africa will host the inaugural 2010 Nestlé Milo Africa Under-13 Champions tournament at Old Parks Sports Club in Bordeaux in Johannesburg on May 8.

Through this tournament the sponsors intend to influence the youth of South Africa by actively promoting the importance of regular physical activity for a healthy lifestyle.

Five African countries - Kenya, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Ghana and the hosts - will take part in the tournament.

South Africa will be represented by last year's champions, Dorothy Langa Primary School from Limpopo.

Nestlé chairperson Sullivan O' Carroll said: "We are extremely proud of our ongoing partnership with the South African Schools Football Association (Sasfa). We strongly believe that playing sports with friends is an important aspect for our children's total development as it is through playing sport that they will learn important values."
