FORMER Bafana Bafana striker Fani Madida has emerged as a hot favourite to assist re-hired Under-23 national coach Ephraim "Shakes" Mashaba.
Mashaba was yesterday unveiled by Safa technical committee chairperson Fanyani Sibanyoni, after Sowetan had reported on the appointment yesterday.
Sowetan has also learnt that Safa was initially toying with the idea of partnering Mashaba with veteran coach Kenny Ndlazi.
Sibanyoni also confirmed the appointment of Khabo Zondo as Amajita coach, replacing Serame Letsoaka who has since been appointed Safa technical director. Zondo will be assisted by Maqsood Chenia.
Sibanyoni also announced that Greg Mashilo has been appointed girls U-17 coach, assisted by Anna Monate.
