BERLIN - Germany's Formula One stars Michael Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel will defend their Race of Champions title on home soil with Dusseldorf set to host the 2010 event, it was announced Saturday.

For the last three years, the German pair have won the competition's Nations Cup that pits the world's greatest drivers from all motor sport's disciplines.

"It is going to be very exciting to see The Race of Champions in Germany, particularly as Sebastian and I have won the Nations Cup (on November 26-27) for the last three years," said Schumacher. "I'm really looking forward to defending our title in front of our home crowd.

"In the individual event, we will all be fighting for ourselves so it will be interesting to see who does better."

Vettel is fifth in the 2010 Formula One season in World Drivers' Championships and Schumacher is tenth.
