Chiefs in for rude awakening

KAIZER Chiefs players could be in for a rude awakening if they underestimate minnows FC Cape Town when they meet in the Nedbank Cup last-16 on Sunday.

KAIZER Chiefs players could be in for a rude awakening if they underestimate minnows FC Cape Town when they meet in the Nedbank Cup last-16 on Sunday.

Chiefs travel to Botshabelo Stadium for a date with the Cape Town side without their important player Knowledge Musona who is suspended.

FC Cape Town coach Jozef Vukusic, who believes his side can cause an upset in Ke Yona, is not excited that Amakhosi will be without the 19-year-old Zimbabwean.

"Chiefs are not a one-man team and whoever is going to replace Musona will be equally capable," said Vukusic yesterday.

Chiefs coach Vladimir Vermezovic is worried with some of the players who already think they have won the match.

"They think that we have already beaten FC Cape Town and this is a wrong attitude," Vermezovic said yesterday.
