LOCAL recording company Big Fish Music has signed an international outfit.

Owned by gospel musician and producer Sipho Makhabane, the company has signed US celebrity couple David and Marian Lewis.

The Lewis duo will release their long-awaited album, titled One, under Big Fish Music, which is the home of gospel music.

The company has big stars such as Hlengiwe Mhlaba, Tshepiso Motaung, Pastor Ncanda and Makhabane himself.

David is co-founder and a lead vocalist of famous R&B group Atlantic Starr. He wrote, produced performed their all-time hits such as Secret lovers, I will Remember You, Always and many more.

In this offering he collaborates with his wife, a former model who graced the international ramps, showcasing top designs.

The duo, who now have chosen the gospel route, pour their hearts out through the music.

Makhabane said: "I am so delighted to welcome this duo back to South Africa.

"They could have chosen any music company, but for obvious reasons they decided to work with Big Fish Music. We know we will make them happy.

"Their vast musical experience was not spared in this piece of work. The listener can easily pick up that Atlantic Starr quality in David's vocal arrangements and Marian's incredible voice."

The duo described their album as the one filled with songs of their experiences with God, the trials and triumphs they have experienced on their journey as ambassadors for the kingdom.

"It speaks about financial difficulties we experienced as a result of parting ways with careers that for many years put bread on the table, but we hung on to God, disputing every temptation to go back to our old lives," David said.

In the song Lord I'm coming home the duo speaks about their initial South African experience in 2000.
