Million kids immunised

More than a million children have been immunised against measles and polio in KwaZulu-Natal in one week, the department of health announced yesterday.

The department said 1468338 of the targeted population of four million have been immunised so far.

"On Monday April 12, in KwaZulu-Natal, 429642 children between the ages of 6 and 59 months and 601844 children aged between 5 and 14 years were immunized against measles as well as 436852 children against polio," spokesperson Chris Maxon said.
