Samwu in bid to end strike

Samwu general secretary Mthandeki Nhlapho said yesterday that the week-long strike would continue until a deal had been signed.

"Our members have given us a revised mandate in which they indicated that they are not going to compromise on certain issues," Nhlapho said.

Earlier, Samwu spokesperson Tahir Sema said: "Salga has conceded to most of our demands and only a few sticky issues relating to implementation are outstanding. . I can safely say Salga conceded to the majority of our demands." - Luzuko Pongoma
