The Local Organising Committee, provincial government and Sol Plaatje municipality will host the national celebrations around Kimberley on April 21.
The events, which will be attended by some of Africa's soccer greats, will include a sod-turning ceremony for an artificial pitch.
World Cup ambassadors like Phil Masinga, Doctor Khumalo, Mark Fish and Kalusha Bwalya will be there.
There will also be a match featuring Majimbos, who are guided by South Africa's rising development coach Solly Luvhengo, and Namibia's Under-17 side.
This will be their second match after the South Africans defeated Namibia 3-0 in the 2011 African Under-17 Championships qualifier in Windhoek last weekend.
Meanwhile, President Jacob Zuma will officially open the newly constructed Central Terminal Building at the OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg as part of the celebrations.
The terminal was built by Airports Company South Africa (Acsa) as part of the country's preparations for the World Cup.
Airport general manager Chris Hlekane said the opening of the terminal marked the completion of the airport.
"Acsa works closely with Fifa to share data on traffic volumes around key games and venues," he said.
"The airports are prepared to operate 24 hours a day to ensure the smooth flow of operations."
