EASTERN Mosaic presenter Jailoshini Naidoo will be cracking jokes at Emperors Palace as part of the Indian Comedy Festival.

If you enjoy jokes about samosas and curries then the Theatre of Marcellus at Emperors is the place to be on April 24.

Comedy fans are in for a treat when seasoned local comedians take to the stage just for a day. Naidoo will be joined by comedians Eubulus Tracy and Sans Moonsamy.

The trio is set to create an adrenalin rush second to none with nonstop comedy titled Bollywood Actor Comedy Vir Das.

Naidoo, who is a familiar face on SABC2s Eastern Mosaic, was born and raised in Chatsworth in Durban. The ex-drama teacher brings to life characters ranging from a granny to a gangster. Her brilliant performances have earned her a name in the industry.

Tracy is no stranger on the comedy circuit. He has been working in the performing-arts industry for the past 12 years as compère at private and corporate events and also as a stand-up comic.

He is well-known for his humorous comment on pertinent social issues.

Tracy has wowed audiences with his performances in shows such as The Indian Comedy Festival, Comedy Express, Laugh your Socks Off, Funny Bone and Three Standing Up. His comic impersonation of Sibongile Supermaid will have the audience falling off their seats.

Moonsamy is a leading comedian in South Africa with a distinctly Indian flavour that appeals to a broad spectrum. His unique writing and performance style has also won him international acclaim.

Moonsamy has more than 10 years' professional experience across various performance genres from live comedy, comedy sketches, musicals, dramas and television to cinema performances.

Ticket prices for the show start at R100 and there is an age restriction of 16.
