A life in service of his country

DR MOLEFI Sefularo (52), pictured left, was born in July 9, 1957. At the time of his death he was deputy minister of health. He was appointed to his current position in May last year.

Prior to his appointment he had served as a member of Parliament since 2004. He was also a Member of parliamentary committee on trade and industry, foreign affairs, health and member of ANC provincial executive committee in North West.

Sefularo, who was a medical doctor by profession, served as senior medical officer at Thusong Hospital, Klerksdorp, from 1986 to 1991. He also worked as a lecturer in the Department of Community Health at Witwatersrand Medical School in Johannesburg from 1993 to 1994 before his appointment as North West MEC for health. He held the position from 1994-2004. He was married to Kgomotso née Kgoathe.
