Boxing SA's Abram Khambule said Ndzamela's manager told him that his charge went to withdraw money at about 5pm but did not return.
Khambule said Ndzamela, the 2007 Baby Champs titlist, did everything in preparation for the fight, including signing the register.
His no-show is a breach of contract.
Promoter Jeff Ellis, who jointly presented the tournament with GGP, said Ndzamela should have his licence revoked and be slapped with a lifelong ban.
Pettifer said Simba learnt of Ndzamela's disappearing act 20 minutes before the fight was due to begin. Nevertheless the crowd at the Theatre of Marcellus was treated to some feverish fight action, Pettifer said.
In the main bout, Sydney Maluleke registered a hard-fought majority decision over Grant "Fireball" Fourie after six rounds in the junior lightweight division. The scorecards read 57-57, 58-57 and 58-56. Other results:
