THREE people were injured when two cars collided on the N4 between Rustenburg and Swartruggens yesterday, the North West community safety department said.
Departmental spokesperson Lesiba Kgwele said the two cars, an Isuzu bakkie and BMW, collided 20km from Rustenburg.
The BMW overturned twice and landed on the side of the road.
Two people from the bakkie and one from the BMW were seriously injured.
Paramedics used the jaws of life to free the driver of the BMW.
Rainy weather was believed to have contributed to a large extent to the accident.
All the injured were sent to hospitals in Rustenburg. - Sapa
