For two girls on the West Rand, few thi`ngs compare to the feeling they get when their feet hit the tarmac.
"I want to run until the day I die," said Sylvia Tshetlanyane yesterday, hours before jetting off to Poland for a prestigious cross-country championship.
Sylvia, 17, and and Thato Makhafola, 15, both Grade 10 pupils at Hoërskool Monument in Krugersdorp, will represent South Africa in the 38th IAAF Cross Country Championships in Bydgoszcz this weekend.
