Cosmos bear down on Bucs

JOMO Cosmos might have been relegated, but want to go down to the National First Division in style by lifting the Telkom Knockout title.

JOMO Cosmos might have been relegated, but want to go down to the National First Division in style by lifting the Telkom Knockout title.

Cosmos hope they will inflict yet another defeat on goal-shy Orlando Pirates in a quarterfinal match at Rand Stadium tomorrow at 6pm. In their last match at the same venue on December 4, Cosmos beat Pirates 1-0, which finally ended Bucs' title hopes.

Cosmos manager Andrew Rabutla said: "The players are buzzing and will show Pirates an early exit."

Bucs coach Ruud Krol is equally confident, despite Teko Modise, Katlego Mashego, Thulasizwe Mbuyane, Andile Jali and Moeneeb Josephs being out of action.

Ezenkosi will pin their hopes on the likes of Bamuza Sono, Thabiso Hlalele, Sekou Camara and Thapelo Tshilo.
