MOLEMO "Jub Jub" Maarohanye's buffoonery would have been laughable had it not been so tragic.

The loss of four precious young lives due to disdain for the law is of grave concern. The use of liquor and drugs make the situation even more nauseating.

First it was Doctor Khumalo, Bryce Moon and Mandoza. Now it is Jub Jub. The list of so-called celebrities who disregard the law while endangering other people keeps growing and unless there are serious consequences for breaking the law we will continue to lose lives unnecessarily.

The latest catastrophe forms part of a disturbing pattern and if these scoundrels were just being gluttons for punishment and not killing people, maybe we would have grudgingly ignored their idiocy.

But turning our roads into race tracks is unacceptable, if not repugnant.

Too many innocent lives have been lost and South Africans have been subjected to unnecessary pain and agony.

What else should happen before decisive action is taken against these rascals who masquerade as celebrities?

Anyone, irrespective of their perceived status, must not be allowed to endanger the lives of law-abiding motorists and pedestrians.

Should anyone break the law, the full might of the law should come down on them like a ton of bricks. This is the only way acts of anarchy will be stopped.
