Spies has recovered from a knee injury he picked up three weeks ago playing against the Brumbies, while Rossouw has overcome a neck strain.
Though the Bulls possess considerable depth in the loose forward department, the athleticism of Spies is always a bonus.
His lineout prowess also adds an extra dimension to the team, as does his ability to get over the advantage line.
Still topping the log with a game in hand, the Bulls should not have too much of a struggle against a Highlanders side that was dished out a rugby lesson by the Stormers in Cape Town at the weekend.
Mind you, the Bulls are only too aware of the importance of bonus points and will be keen on getting another 50 points on the scoreboard for the fourth time this season.
