Sosnowski guns for Klitschko

BERLIN - World Boxing Council heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko will defend his title against Poland's Albert Sosnowski in Schalke, Germany, on May 29, the Ukrainian said yesterday.

Klitschko, 38, whose brother Vladimir will defend his World Boxing Organisation, International Boxing Federation and International Boxing Organisation heavyweight titles against Eddie Chambers on March 20, said Sosnowski, 31, would be a tough rival.

"He is a fast boxer who will try everything. But I will not let it happen," Klitschko said.

Sosnowski, the European Boxing Union champion with 45 wins, two defeats and a draw, was set to defend against Audley Harrison in April but cancelled to fight Klitschko. "Vitali is way past his peak," he said. - Reuters
