Among other African players in action for European clubs, Didier Drogba's goal drought continued for a third match, but Chelsea teammate John Obi Mikel ensured a crucial clearance that helped the holders reach the FA Cup semifinals with a 2-0 win against Stoke on Sunday.

Mamadou Niang (Marseille): The Senegal international netted his 15th goal of Marseilles' campaign with a left-foot effort in their 1-1 draw with Lorient.

Pierre Webo (Real Mallorca): The Cameroon striker scored a minute from time in Real Mallorca's 3-0 win over Sporting Gijon in the Spanish first division.
