Correctional Services said that “matters are under control” at Johannesburg’s Sun City Prison on Wed.
MINISTER of higher education and training Blade Nzimande condemned a newspaper's publishing of a confidential state report yesterday.
He denounced the publication by the Sunday Independent of a document not yet finalised or publicly released, the department said.
The report reviews the National Student Aid Scheme and was presented to cabinet two weeks ago, the department said. It was only due to be made public on March 16.
One recommendation includes free tertiary education for poor students. If accepted, the scheme could answer some SA Students' Congress (Sasco) demands, the newspaper reported. - Sapa
