The big names in the women's section include the Phalula twins, Lebo and Lebohang, and Poppy Mlambo.
The race will also see the return to action of Mapaseka Makhanya after she recently gave birth.
There will also be a strong field in the men's section that includes Tshamano Setone, Vincent Kutoane, Abram Khumalo, Thuso Phaswane and Isaac Mbuyane.
The winners in both categories will each take home R1000. The half marathon will start and finish at the university.
