SUPERSPORT United's celebrations for an incredible third successive Absa Premiership title have been stand-in for captain Bongani Khumalo.

He has been recalled for Bafana Bafana as they intensify their preparations for the 2010 Fifa World Cup taking place here between June and July.

Khumalo comes in to replace team-mate, Morgan Gould, who was withdrawn from the squad yesterday after he sustained an ankle injury during SuperSport's league match against BidVest Wits last Wednesday night.

Bafana will come against Namibia in Durban on Wednesday night in an in international friendly. The match will form part of the festivities to celebrate South Africa's 2010 Fifa World Cup 100 days countdown.

South Africa will celebrate the countdown with a banquet to be addressed by Deputy President, Kgalema Motlanthe and Fifa president, Sepp Blatter. LOC chairperson, Irvin Khoza, will also speak at the event which he will use to reiterate South Africa's readiness for the World Cup.

Bafana manager Sipho Nkumane said: "We have already sent a letter to SuperSport United regarding the call-up of Bongani, he is coming along with us to Durban."

Despite the defeat, United won the league title after second-placed Mamelodi Sundowns lost 2-0 by relegation-threatened Jomo Cosmos.

Nkumane announced that Bafana coach Alberto Parreira will name the team to tour Brazil for an intensive training camp in Durban on Thursday.

l The LOC and Fifa will also use tomorrow's celebrations to officially declare Moses Mabhida Stadium as being ready for the World Cup.
