IN conjunction with their financial year-end, Aucor has been instructed to auction a spectacular array of jewellery and time pieces.
"As a result of insolvencies and deceased estates, liquidators want to start the new financial year with a clean slate - so all the stock must go. This auction gives buyers the chance to own something special at a fraction of retail prices," says Colin Wainer of Aucor's jewellery division.
Wainer says that buyers of luxury time pieces will have a range of watches to choose from, with several brands being represented: a virtually new Bentley Breitling gent's watch in original box with papers; a number of Rolex watches including a new Daytona with black dial; a Submariner with black dial and bezel; a stainless steel Oyster Perpetual Explorer 2 with a white dial in its original box with papers; a Cartier Tank Françoise steel on steel bracelet; a Pasha C stainless steel watch and gold Santos.
Should these not tickle your fancy, bidders can choose from several Tag Heuer, Omega, Baume and Mercier, Piaget and Chopard pieces.
For things with serious sparkle, there is a fantastic selection of bracelets, earrings, necklaces and rings. A real stunner is a tennis bracelet set with 54 amazing black and five white diamonds.
Other notable items are an 18ct white gold lady's cocktail ring set with tanzanite and three diamonds; an 18cts yellow gold engagement style dress ring set with a centre diamond weighing 1,19cts surrounded by 0,22cts of pavé diamonds; an 18ct white gold Lady Di-style ring set with centre round black diamond of approximately 100cts surrounded by 14 round diamonds; a pair of 18ct white gold classic Tiffany-style stud four-claw earrings set with 2,43cts of matching round diamonds would make a wonderful gift for someone special.
The auction takes place on Sunday 28 February at 10:30 at the Hilton Hotel, Sandton. Anyone looking for the full list of items on auction can log onto www.aucor.com or call Aucor's call centre on 0861 28 28 46.
